Ciprofloxacin 500 mg - Tablets

 

The active ingredient is ciprofloxacin, a bactericidal antibiotic, indicated for treatment of feline and canine diseases.

In blister packs of PVC 250 micron and 25 micron aluminum containing 10 tablets w / one.
In box with 100, 500 and 1000 tablets c / a (with 500 mg of active ingredient, ciprofloxacin).

Composition: Ciprofloxacin 500 mg Excipients authorized. c.s.

 

Dose: In dogs and cats 5-10 mg / kg c 12 h (= 1 tablet C/50 kg) c / 12 hs. for 5-10 days, or according to professional criteria. It is advisable to mix with one part of the food to prevent nausea that appear in some animals.

 

Directions: It is a bactericidal antibiotic, indicated for treatment of various infectious diseases of dogs, cats and exotic animals, caused by gram positive, gram negative, spirochetes, chlamydiae and mycoplasmas are sensitive to ciprofloxacin (respiratory infections, enteritis, skin infections , genitourinary tract infections, otitis, osteomyelitis). Prophylaxis in postoperative infections. It acts by inhibiting bacterial ADNgirasa, being an original mechanism that explains its utility Multiresistant infections to other antimicrobials such as beta-lactams, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines and trimethoprim / sulfa.

 

Contraindications: Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in dogs undergoing rapid growth (from 2 to 8 months) due to reports of injuries to the articular cartilage at that age. In giant breeds, this period may be extended to 18 months. Not recommended for use in cats less than 8 weeks old. Exclude epileptic animals with clinical history. Do not try cases demonstrated hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin. Antagonistic effects may occur in coadministration with chloramphenicol, macrolides or tetracycline. Do not use simultaneously with theophylline.

 

Presentation: Blister of 10 tablets in boxes of 100 tablets (10 blister).
